What a day of cricket for the last match in 2021 for this season! A victory that was well and truly a masterclass, and showed the boys had learnt plenty from the ladder leaders a week before.
DC continued his fine form with the bat, with his second ton in three weeks - finishing on 171 not out at the end of the 40 overs. Skipper Jordan McDermott was great support with a handy 53 in the middle overs. The boys certainly had set the pace for the Footballers chasing 319 to win.
Our bowlers then stepped up to the plate, each contributing for the afternoon with every bowler taking at least one wicket. The best figures went to Brent Zerafa 2/3 and Harley McDermott 2/10.
It was a great afternoon for the SBCC, which now puts the firsts back up into finals contention.
The first game back in the new year will be on Saturday 8th January 2022 versus Knoxfield at Carrington Park Reserve.
